This year, to date has been a big one for me. I have learned a lot along the way, and as a result, my efforts have paid off ๐Ÿ™‚ I can’t take all of the credit, well I can, I have done the work, but I have been influenced by some incredible women out there, who have gone before and worked things out for all those of us who follow!

So firstly, before I briefly share with you some stats, there are two people that I have followed this year that have made so much sense, and I have loved using their products.

Firstly, there is Lisa Jacobs over at Luminaries Club, link to here site here.ย She is just a wealth of information. Her courses that I have paid for, as well as her amazing Planner, (she has the 2017 one out now) have just been worth every cent. Go and have a look for yourself ๐Ÿ™‚ And then thank me later!

The other very generous lady is Allison Marshall over at Wonderlass, link to her site here. This very talented lady, also has courses that you pay for and learn amazing things as well, BUT she has sooooo much free stuff that she just shares with everyone. Another thank you should be coming my way for that little tip too!

So what I have I learned? Heaps! Mainly, all about who your ideal client is, where they hang out and how to market to them so you in turn get their business. Simple. Well, it is, but there is a lot of work that goes into this simplicity.

So what are the stats? Below you can see just how during this year I have more than tripled my views since last year! These are still not HUGE numbers, but, they are to me. They have translated into extra income over at my store, in fact I have been doubling my monthly income compared to the same time from last year! And again, that is fantastic, but it has been a lot of hard work too. These increases don’t just happen by sitting back and doing nothing.

Page Views on my Blog

2014 – 428

2015 – 1019

2016 – 3,565 (and that is current as of today, so not the full year!)

So how did I increase views, well it has been an attack from 3 different things, that all sort of happen at the same time!

Firstly, I linked up all of my online presence – so my blog/pinterest/Facebook/Teachers Pay Teachers are all connected to each other. Each one funnels and passes people along to one of the previously mentioned, and each one will pass onto all of the others. I still have more to do with this, but it is working. Just look at the stats below.

Number of Blog Clicks that have gone to Teachers Pay Teachers

2014 – 43

2015 – 142

2016 – 1119

And these numbers make me smile ๐Ÿ™‚ And what is even better is that Pinterest is working for me big time by driving people to my blog or to my store on TPT!

2014 – 42

2015 – 15

2016 – 1167

Again, these numbers make me smile ๐Ÿ™‚

So how did I improve these numbers – using Canva and Tailwind. Canva is a design tool. You can sign up for free, but it doesn’t cost too much and it is worth paying the subscription to get the full version.

The other tool that I have been using is Tailwind. This is a Pinterest scheduler. You can create your pin design in Canva, upload it to Tailwind, link it to what you need to – a product or a page, then decide what Pinterest boards to schedule to, set and forget! It has been a life saver for me, especially as I really love wasting time on Pinterest, so this little gem has saved me time, set me up for success and is helping my little sales funnel! There is a small cost involved, but the low monthly fee is more than covered in how it is sending people to my Teachers Pay Teachers store and then converting into sales!

So there it is, a real look at the stats that show my increase in traffic by applying some smart know how and old fashioned hard work. Of course, it wouldn’t matter how great my sales funnel and stats were, if my products were not of a high quality, this would be all for nought ๐Ÿ™ But, as I have been doubling sales, I must be doing something right. Now it is certainly not enough for me to quit my day job, but I am on my way to that dream!
